Built to Endure In 1959, John Glenn Sample imagined a community unlike any other, modeled after the spirit of Port Royal, Jamaica and grounded in the natural beauty of Naples. His vision was to create a place for Port Royal residents to gather which became the Port Royal Clubhouse. In this special place, lifelong friendships and traditions were created; and many memories made. That vision was tested when the beloved original Clubhouse was lost to Hurricane Ian. But what mattered most remained: the spirit of a Club that stayed true to its course. It was the people who were the Club — the building was just a convenient place to gather. The camaraderie is still here and memories are still being made. What Port Royal has become is stronger still — a way of life defined by resilience, carried forward with confidence and grace. 05 PORT ROYAL CLUB
